From the team that brought you Evidently, comes a whole new adventure. Manchester's only monthly slam. Ten poets battle it out to win the glory (and twenty pounds) and make it through to December's final.
Word War takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at the brilliant Three Minute Theatre. Eight poets have 3 minutes to try and impress our judges. Only one will get through to the finals in December to have their shot at winning £200, a guest slot at Evidently, Word War's Trophy and will be eligible to compete in the UK National Slam!
We aim to celebrate slam's and make them fun and inclusive. Already we have had several poets who have had their first experience of competitive poetry. Just remember, the points are not the point, the point is the poetry.
