Poetry to the masses - Funny, thought-provoking and entertaining...!

Evidently... Adele Hampton and Joe Cooper... and our birthday!

Come and join us on the 12th October for our second birthday party!

In addition to our fabulous guests Adele Hampton and Joe Cooper, we will also be launching our 2nd Anthology (and we will have a cake!) It will be immense!

Adele Hampton is a storyteller, poet, and lover of mason jars with roots planted in Washington, DC by way of upstate New York. She has performed at The John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts and is a Capturing Fire Queer Spoken Word Summit and Slam finalist and competed in the 2015 BBC Fringe Slam. She is featured in "Flicker and Spark: A Contemporary Queer Anthology of Spoken Word and Poetry" and Write Bloody's "We Will Be Shelter" anthology. She was also a member of Washington DC's 2013 Beltway Poetry's National Slam Team.

Some poets have an indefinable quality - Joe Cooper fits that mould. Mix his cleverly worded wickedly funny words with a unique stage presence that sets him apart from other spoken word artists and you have a must see performer.

Also Evidently will be releasing an anthology collecting over 60 of the wonderful poets who have performed for us in the past year including Rosie Garland, Gerry Potter,, Mab Jones, A.F Harrold, Sophia Walker, Tony Walsh and many more.

Also ten open mic spots are available (one poem - two minutes per poet) in the event that more than ten people wish to sign up, priority will be given to first time performers. We are filming each night so everyone who performs will get a shiny new Youtube video if they want one.

Eagle Inn, £3 on the door.

Forget what you learned at school, this is poetry as entertainment.
