Poetry to the masses - Funny, thought-provoking and entertaining...!

Evidently... Daniel Cockrill and Ciaran Hodgers

Join us on 14th September for another night of "clever, witty and thought-provoking entertainment" at Evidently!

Boasting the fabulous talents of Daniel Cockrill and Ciaran Hodgers and hosted by Salford's own Kieren King.

Daniel Cockrill is the co-founder of Bang Said The Gun and Pagematch and has produced poetry films for Channel 4's Random Acts. His collections Sellotaping Rain To My Cheek, Pie and Papier Mache and Mud Wrestling With Words contain, as he puts it, anthologies of four or five words strung together to make sentences.

Irish poet Ciarán Hodgers, National Senior winner of the Sean Dunne Young Writers Award in Waterford, Ireland, 2010, and two time Word War Slam finalist. A page poet until he discovered performance poetry at university, Hodgers is influenced by traditional page genres as well as contemporary aspects of performance.

Also ten open mic spots are available (one poem - two minutes per poet) in the event that more than ten people wish to sign up, priority will be given to first time performers. We are filming each night so everyone who performs will get a shiny new Youtube video if they want one.

£3 on the door.

Forget what you learned at school, this is poetry as entertainment.
